An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer skilled in civil Infrastructure works to join a highly regarded top tier contractor working on one of the most high profile infrastructure projects currently in the South West . This contract has a number of works but this role will be working on the sections of a new nuclear energy build including earthworks, civil & structural engineering works and new road construction.
The project is being managed by two top tier contractors who are working in partnership so this is a prime opportunity for you to work with two established international companies who span multiple sectors including rail, power, water, building and natural resources. Not only are they working on this prestigious project but also have a number of projects throughout the UK which will also give you scope for progression.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting to the Quality Manager
*Undertake audits of Quality documentation and workmanship.
*Interfacing with and providing expertise to Project Management and Engineering Disciplines on project Quality related matters.
*Programme, plan and execute approval assessment and monitoring audits of projects, suppliers and subcontractors.
*Assist the quality manager where directed.
*Review ITP's and NCRs.
*Site audits/visits to ensure SAT's are undertaken correctly.
*Brief construction teams on quality requirements.
*Liaise with the clients quality representatives.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
*Degree in Engineering or relevant HNC/HND equivalent
*Experience of working on Civils and Rail projects
*Knowledge of the Quality Assurance process
*Excellent written and verbal communication
