A Project Controls Engineer Is required on a freelance basis for two top tier contractors working together on the Hinkley Point upgrade. This section of works involves earthworks and civil works, roads, drainage and some structures. This is an ongoing contract with the potential to go permanent if desired.
This is a great opportunity to work for two international companies who are involved in a number of sectors such as rail, power, water, building and natural resources. These companies have a number of live projects within the UK and many more in the pipeline.
This Programme Management/Project Controls role will form part of the senior management team and will require an experienced Project Controls Engineer, capable of extensive programme development at the front end and robust construction management and monitoring and reporting during build phases.
In addition, it is essential candidates have the following:
*Developed project controls and planning software experience in Primavera and MS Project
*Experience leading programme management within large construction projects, ideally from a client or consultancy background and must have transport project experience
*Experience in earned value analysis, resource loading and coordinating a number of schedules and implementing Master programmes
*A strong commercial and financial knowledge as you will be required to conduct various progress and financial reports regarding the schedule
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
