Humberside Engineering Training Association (HETA) is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. HETA provide engineering apprentices and adult skills training for hundreds of companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.

We are looking for a multi-skilled Fabrication / Welding Instructor Assessor with a high level of industry experience who would like to move into training and pass on their knowledge and experience.
The successful candidate will be based at our Hull site and work with our existing instructor teams delivering bespoke and accredited commercial training to apprentices and adult delegates both in house and on client company premises.
As HETA offer Coded Weld training and tests to its clients, part of the role would be to become a TWI approved weld inspector/trainer. Whilst this isn’t a requirement of the job prior to starting, previous experience is advantageous. It will be a mandatory requirement of the job to pass the TWI approval process upon commencement of employment for the successful applicant. Training would be arranged by HETA.
The successful Fabrication / Welding Instructor Assessor applicants will have good craft/technical skills, good interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and more than five years industrial experience. Relevant qualifications to at least City and Guilds Craft certificate, HNC or above would be advantageous, Assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills. A full driving licence and willingness to work nationally is essential.
