Facilities Technician
Lincoln, Full Time, Permanent - (AM/PM Shift Pattern)
£25000-30000 Salary (Depending on experience)
The Role
Our Lincoln based clients are looking for a Facilities Technician to support the Facilities Group Leader in maintaining site effectiveness and efficiency. To carry out day to day maintenance & installation activities within the facilities dept. To be familiar with all aspects of the facilities department and to act as deputy in the group leaders absence.
Key Responsibilities
To work within the facilities department carrying out maintenance & installation of the plant & equipment.
To carryout Planed Preventative Maintenance & checks on plant as required.
To fault find & rectify plant issues.
To become fully conversant with the Building Management System (BMS).
To understand how the BMS interacts with the plant & equipment.
Carry out facilities maintenance where required with any tasks.
To understand all aspects of the facilities department including help desks, planning and procurement.
To act as deputy to the facilities group leader in his absence.
Reviewing, analysing and evaluating site services activities in line with key activities, ensuring that hazards/risks are clearly identified and that appropriate recommendations for improvement are communicated to line manager where required, before action is taken.
Managing cost efficiency in line with key activities of the role.
Shift Pattern
The hours of work are alternating shifts consisting of:
5.30am : 1.30pm - Monday to Thursday
5.30am : 1.00pm - Friday
2.30pm : 10.30pm - Monday to Thursday
2.00pm : 9.30pm - Friday
This will also attract a 15% shift premium
Minimum Qualifications
ONC/D or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering or a physical science
Completed a formal apprenticeship or training scheme in an engineering environment
Health and Safety qualification
Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance/engineering role in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of 5S techniques
Knowledge and experience of HSE legislation
Effective communicator with specialist and non-specialist colleagues
Commitment to continuous improvement and recognised quality standards
Ability to work well independently and/or as part of a team
Flexible to meet business demands
Good time management skills
