As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for initiating and implementing an effective category management strategy, working to build strong relationships with partners to maximize the company's benefits. You will be accountable for the full end to end sourcing of a defined product and services portfolio, from identifying and negotiating with key suppliers, through to forecasting and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

- Accountable for the development and implementation of a complete category strategy in line with the key procurement objectives
- Responsible for ensuring internal stakeholder engagement and a high level service is achieved
- Responsible for running procurement tenders and projects delivering values defined in the category strategy (DPO, WAPT)
- Through the management of a team, ensure that all day to day tasks are completed effectively and in a timely manner. This includes all managerial responsibility
- Manage complex negotiations around supply continuity work with peers, colleagues and key stakeholders to develop where appropriate strategic alliances across supply base.

Essential Requirements:

- Candidates should either possess the MCIPS qualification or be studying towards it.
- Competent and experienced procurement expertise with a proven track record in delivering cost savings and service enhancements
- Demonstrable track record in Supplier Relationship Management
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Contracts/commercial terms knowledge
- Experience of managing large, complex cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX would be an advantage
