FINTEC recruit is seeking a Principal Development Engineer for their Engineering client based in Nothampton. This is a permanent position with salary up to £50,000 plus benefits and car allowance. You will require to have an understanding of hybridisation and of the thermodynamic properties of engines.
Responsibilities of the Development Engineer position:-
- To lead, plan and supervise engine development programs
- Undertake detailed analysis of test results
- Prepare technical reports, presentations and papers
- Liaison with customers and suppliers
- To contribute to technical capability of the thermodynamic department
- Develop commercial quotations, and conduct business development activities
- Line management responsibilities for up to 2 engineers
Skills and Experience required:-
- An Engineering Degree or HND
- Gasoline/diesel fuel background desirable (and/or alternative fuels)
- Relevant experience in the field of automotive development engineering - (8 to 10 years experience minimum)
- Understanding of hybridisation
- Understanding of the thermodynamic properties of engines
