Our Client is award winning employer and is the UK's leading provider of multi-channel customer service and secure payment solutions. Due to continual growth, they are seeking an IT Desktop Support Engineer to join their experienced team.

For the past 20 years their automated customer self-service solutions have helped organisations meet the challenges of engaging customers across multiple channels, and removing the pressure of inbound calls on call centres. Their pedigree of cross-sector clients have all benefited from reduced operational costs and improved efficiency, enabling their contact centre to focus on more complex enquiries.

They are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a good basic IT knowledge covering Windows PCs, Installations, User account management, and most importantly supporting a range of users with their differing demands both here in the UK and in the US.

Key to the role is a personal desire to learn and expand knowledge to offer an excellent service to the internal users. To support the business needs in ensuring issues and faults are fixed and resolved to enable the users to operate effectively.

This role is based on a broad range of technologies and therefore provides an exciting opportunity to leverage existing and learn new skills. You will need excellent problem solving, and an analytical approach, along with exceptional communication, administration and organisational skills.

The Company is a PCI Level 1 Service Provider and as such training in security or job related technologies will be provided.

Key functional responsibilities:

  • Day to day 1st line support for all corporate users.
  • New PC builds to build specification
  • Management of new user/mover and leaver procedures
  • Patching and cabling as required
  • Software deployment and auditing, inc. anti-virus, MS Office etc
  • AD security reviews and group management
  • Backup scheduling and testing
  • Other administration duties within the department as required

Your Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous IT Support or service desk experience
  • Good knowledge of Windows Operating systems
  • Network Skills would be desirable
  • Good problems analysis and solving skills.
  • Excellent working practices.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Approachable, adaptable, dependable.
