Senior Assessor - Work Experience Health, Safety and Welfare
Our client is currently recruiting a Senior Assessor to visit companies around Leicestershire to carry out suitability checks with regard to health, safety and welfare prior to students taking part in work experience. You will agree job role descriptors with employers and formulate robust risk assessments that highlight both hazards and control measures. You will also identify other services which we can offer employers, eg, support re recruitment of apprentices, other opportunities for employers to engage with young people in schools and colleges. This will be 95% of the job.
You will also supervise other staff who are carrying out the same role, to ensure that they are achieving their target number of visits. You will carry out quarterly reviews to assess performance and set objectives for the forward quarter. You will report in to the Operations Manager and advise them on staff continuous professional development needs. This will be about 5% of the role.
The successful applicant must hold a NEBOSH General certificate as a minimum, have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
This post is subject to a check being carried out at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Service regarding any previous criminal record.
Pay/Hours of work:
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week. We would also like to hear from applicants who may wish to work more flexibly on a part-time basis.
The successful applicant will be provided with a laptop and mobile telephone. Mileage will be reimbursed as per the Company policy.
