Role; Electronics Engineer (embedded hardware)
The Role
We are seeking to recruit a contract Electronics Embedded Hardware Engineer to work within our Telematics team as a result of expanding our team and product range. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to be able to work under the direction of the Senior Engineer to take a product specification from proof of concept, through the prototyping stage to the initial product release. The role will primarily involve the circuit design/layout development of hardware modules to be used in automotive applications and will require prior experience of 32bit ARM architectures and cellular interfacing.
The Person
Applications will be assessed against the following key criteria as part of the assessment process
* Electrical/Electronic engineering or related qualification to minimum of HNC level (Degree desirable)
* Embedded System Design Techniques
* Analogue and Digital Circuit Design
* Familiar with Mentor Graphics PADS Schematic Capture / Layout
* Familiar with design for EM conformity for automotive environments
* Experienced with embedded development with 32bit ARM (M4) Architectures
* Experience with Cellular / Embedded interfacing
* Previous experience with Infineon XMC4K range beneficial
* Familiar with source control procedures & documentation (e.g. GIT).
* Located within commutable distance to Worksop
* Be able to pass pre-employment screening checks to confirm identity, rights to work in the UK, criminal records checks, confirmation of academic/professional qualifications
* Be prepared to assign non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements and assignment of all IPR associated with the work to the company.
Expected contract rate of GBP250-GBP300 per day
Working hours Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (contract role expected for upto 6 months)
