We are looking to for an enthusiastic Gamekeeper with an interest in teaching to be based in our Elmwood Campus in Cupar, Fife.

In this role you will work with the Programme/Team Leader in delivering instruction in Gamekeeping and working with students to develop practical skills. This will include a requirement to:

• Participate in course committees.
• Maintain all College gamekeeping equipment and facilities in safe and effective working order.
• Operate College gamebird enterprise in accordance with College  teaching requirements
• Maintain effective vermin control on working areas and golf course in conjunction with Resource Managers.
• Demonstrate a high level of safety at all times particularly in relation to fireams use.
• Co-ordinate with appropriate staff on all College student shoot days
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained including participation in risk assessments activities.
• Liaise with Gamekeeping Lecturer and Programme/Team Leader regarding maintenance of gamekeeping and estate resources as appropriate
• Prepare routine orders and maintain gamekeeping/estate records as required
• Promote positive behaviour amongst students.
• Participate in induction of students.
• Adhere to inclusion strategies to overcome real or perceived barriers to learning.
• Keep up to date with curriculum and industry/sector occupational standards and developments and maintain vocational expertise.

You should have knowledge, experience (and certification where possible) of:
• Gamekeeping
• Best practise instruction experience.
• First Aid +F would also be beneficial but not essential.
