It’s an exciting time to be in the UK water industry. Until recently, most business customers have been unable to choose their water supplier, but this is changing.

Our client works closely with their business and public sector customers to provide a range of water services. As the market becomes increasingly competitive, they are driving service improvements to meet their customers’ changing expectations. With great customer service at the heart of everything they do, they are winning new business and have a rapidly expanding team as a result.

They are now looking for a Management Information and Data Analyst to take responsibility for gathering Business Intelligence requirements, designing solutions and working with developers on their delivery to time, cost and quality.

As a key part of the Data function within the Systems Team, you will also be responsible for the development of their MI reporting and analysis, and creating and providing all aspects of MI data to key stakeholders and the Leadership Team. You will be expected to drive the execution of the business’ MI data strategy and work with key individuals / teams to operationalise the strategy to ensure they protect and optimise the value of our data to drive operational excellence in all aspects of data management and quality.

They are looking for an individual who holds a degree in Business or Computer Science or who has the direct equivalent experience in the retail industry. With relevant data MI experience, including designing / developing / delivering MI policies / standards and architecting their processes and solutions, you will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and be able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks. Highly organised and reliable with a keen eye for detail, you will have a forward thinking ‘can-do’ attitude and be able to work well independently or as part of a team.

With excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and provide master data strategies and solutions, you will have knowledge of data integration, reporting technologies and of relational database design and normalisation and be able to assist in the strategic vision and translate it into tactical, implementable steps.
