As their IT Applications Manager, you will function as a high calibre manager who is able to support the existing application portfolio or ERP, but also be able to learn new technology quickly in order to drive forward innovative solutions for the business.

Working within the Systems Team, you will be responsible for planning the process of integrating applications that are important to business operations and employee productivity. Duties consist of the installation, upgrading and daily maintenance of software applications including the monitoring of applications networks to prevent virus attacks and security breaches. You will be expected to perform business systems analysis and project management activities which include planning, designing, implementing and maintaining business applications and computer systems with both internal customers and external suppliers, and deliver operational excellence in all aspects of Application Management.

They are looking for an individual who holds a degree in Business or Computer Science or who has the direct equivalent experience in the retail industry. You should possess relevant Application Management experience, including designing / developing system policies / standards and architecting system solutions and have strong project management skills to lead organisational change and in turn, effectively meet strategic and tactical goals.

With excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, you will have a good understanding of end to end business processes and be able to drive large, cross-functional programs including coordination with multiple stakeholders. Using your good problem solving and analytical skills, you will be able to effectively troubleshoot and provide strategies and solutions and be able to define and articulate Application Management strategic vision and translate it into tactical implementable steps.
