Challenging poverty through the global distribution of knowledge, our client produces 40 new books and 80 journal articles each year. Their international development policy, practice and research publications stimulate discussion, strengthen peoples’ capabilities and promote sustainable change.
Help them drive publishing impact and content delivery
Our client is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual in the UK who can help to coordinate the day to day production of all their published content. This is a real opportunity to develop your expertise and profile in publishing.
In this role, you will undertake most of the day to day responsibility for progress of the published projects, including the book and journal publishing programme, and, with other Publishing staff, for delivering that work to agreed budget, schedule and quality. Tasks may include: liaison with authors and editors, checking content submitted complies with publishing standards, basic amendments to files, assisting author to submit content via our online submission systems and updating reports.
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, this role is an entry level position within the publishing company. We are looking for a committed and creative individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude. An interest or experience of academic or professional publishing would be advantageous although not required.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £19,671-£21,466 depending on experience
Based: Bourton on Dunsmore (outside Rugby), Warwickshire, UK
