Due to exceptional growth, our client is now looking for an experienced tendering/estimating engineer to join their rapidly expanding team

Applicants can be based anywhere around the country, but ideally within Derby, Birmingham, Anglia or Home Counties.

Tendering/Estimating Engineer/Manager

Job Role

• Co-ordinating technical and commercial submissions from start to finish
• Liaising with all areas of the business as necessary to support the tender process
• Establish quantity of work scope from enquiry documents in a transparent manner
• Comply with client tendering guidelines and procedures to include draft programmes
• Collate enquiries for suppliers and subcontractors
• Engaging with subcontractors and encouraging competition and diversity of supply chain
• Representing the Organisation at client meetings
• Offer value engineering options

Candidate

• Strong background in Civil Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical & Construction Building Services contracting, preferably within the Rail industry
• Understanding of the planning and sequencing of construction of projects
• Strong background in Estimating Projects & Bid Management
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
