Candidate Requirements:

Education & Experience Required:

* Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality management systems, ideally with auditor training
* Mechanical/Electrical engineering background ideally with experience in Electricity Transmission & Distribution
* Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
* Computer literate with the ability to use computer and related technology efficiently
* Good understanding of the basic mechanical engineering principles FMEA, Process Control
* An ability to make decisions and informed judgements
* General understanding of technical standards and their application in our industry
* Good hands-on practical experience and the ability to adapt and learn new skills
* A good appreciation for the commercial aspects of business
* Health & Safety qualification or accredited training
* Full & Clean Driving Licence

* Flexible and willing to work outside of normal hours on occasion

Job Description:

Brief Description of Role

Assist and help to coordinate/undertake all Technical, Quality Control, Testing, and Quality Assurance activities at our client's site. Provide daily support to Manufacturing, Commercial, Engineering and Assembly in technical and quality related issues; drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organisation and inspection processes both at our site and at our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

* Supporting the business in all Technical related matters
* Deliver the Company ISO 9001 obligations and the update of all relevant records and systems
* Quality Assurance/Control activities and relevant inspections/testing within the business
* Undertake Sample/Factory Acceptance testing for customers and development testing
* Undertaking failure investigation, analysis and reporting
* Liaise with customers and suppliers on a professional basis
* Identify opportunities for innovation in products or processes
* Prepare Company reports and presentations for internal and external uses

Key Duties

* Develop a full understanding of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
* Coordinate and participate in all Quality Management System audits and Product Quality audits
* Effectively support and assist in all Quality Control and Inspection/testing activities on a daily basis
* Develop and maintain Quality plans/objectives with all key suppliers.
* Develop knowledge of the key technical standards used within the industry and how these apply to products
* Develop key knowledge of relevant inspection/test procedures and associated test equipment
* Complete/facilitate the completion of NCR's, CAPA's and improvement plans cross functionally
* Be able to work in a small team or autonomously as required
* Communicate key findings and improvements to other team members
