We are looking to for an enthusiastic Forestry Machine Operator with an interest in teaching to be based in our Barony Campus near Dumfries.

You should have knowledge and experience of:
• Forestry and Forestry Machinery.
• Ideally with FMOC for Forwarder and/or Harvester.
• Chainsaw certificates would be an advantage.
• First Aid +F would also be beneficial but not essential.

Initially, this full time role is for a 9 month project starting 31st July 2017 through to 31st March 2018.

The appointment will be made on the Grade 5 scale: £23,389 - £27,593 pro rata per annum.

Hours will average circa 41 hrs per week over the contracted period with some weeks higher and some weeks lower. The actual work pattern will be agreed between SRUC and the suitable candidate to suit business requirements. Please note there will be a requirement for some weekend working.
