They are now seeking a professional and astute Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Ashby.

Under the leadership of the Area Engineering Manager, you will provide full technical engineering support to the production function and assume responsibility for the mechanical and electrical integrity of equipment. Carrying out effective planned maintenance inspections; reviewing frequencies, parts used and mean time between failure rates, you will recommend improvements to maintenance schedules and complete stores requisitions for parts and contract services.

Reporting and presenting all performance matters routinely, including trends and breakdown/fault data, you will improve plant reliability through the effective management and monitoring of downtime, PPM conformance, engineering planning, use of JDE PM and elements of the engineering budget.

They are looking for an individual who holds a formal engineering qualification to at least City and Guilds level or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical and/or electrical discipline with corresponding practical experience. With the ability to train effectively, you will be competent in fault finding, troubleshooting and diagnostics and have good working knowledge of COSHH. With excellent electrical and mechanical knowledge, you will have the ability to use lean tools and techniques and have PLC automation skills.

Hours of work: There will be 3 rotational shift patterns (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00), so flexibility of working hours is required. This includes working one weekend in three.
