Our impressive site in Westerleigh, near Bristol is one of our largest sites and consists of a state of the art abattoir and also a retail packing plant. We are currently seeking an ambitious and vibrant person who is looking to take that next step into a big Technical Manager role.
You may be a high flying junior Technical Manager / Technical Supervisor, or a QA Manager / Quality Manager / Quality Assurance Manager that is looking to progress your career into a more senior role. Technical Manager – Skills / Experience
You will firstly have experience of dealing with major retailers and USDA audit approval experience would be an advantage. You will ideally hold a Food Technology/Food Science Degree or equivalent, an Intermediate Certificate in HACCP Principles and an Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate as well as previous experience of working in a Technical or Quality role at management / supervisory level. The ability to build and maintain key working relationships is essential combined with excellent communication skills, problem solving and decision making abilities and you must be assertive, self-driven, computer literate proactive and able to work using own initiative.
Food experience is a must, ideally chilled food and preferably from a fresh meat background.
