Our client is the trade association for pharmacy professionals in the UK.

Their aim is to support independent community pharmacies to succeed professionally and commercially for the benefit of their patients. As a not-for-profit organisation, they are committed to reinvesting in service provision and enable this through investment in their people to provide high quality services and products together with effective leadership and representation.

They are looking for a Commercial Marketing Assistant to join them on a 12-month placement where the successful candidate will maximise the sale of goods to Members and Associates by actively marketing and promoting products and services.

Promoting our client as the place to purchase all pharmacy essential products for the efficient and effective running of an independent pharmacy, you will help deliver a clear and consistent marketing message across all sales channels. Assisting in the creating of marketing materials required for campaigns, you will meet regularly with the sales team to understand the needs, opportunities and workflow of the departments whilst also ensuring they have marketing materials for all current promotions, campaigns and new products that are available.

As the successful candidate, you will have a competent knowledge of trading websites and an understanding of different marketing techniques. Qualified to A-Level or equivalent in English or humanities subjects AND business studies, marketing, media or communications, you will additionally have at least 12 months’ undergraduate study in similar subject.

With a basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, you will be results driven and have a good attention to detail. Competent communication skills are important, as is having the ability to be a team player who can also work on your own initiative.
