Our client is one of the largest suppliers of building materials in the UK with some of the most recognisable and renowned brands in the industry including London Brick and Thermalite. They employ around 1600 people at sites across the UK. They manufacture a wide range of products, including Bricks, Blocks, Paving and Precast Concrete as well as other more specialist products.

Whilst completing the Graduate Programme, you will develop a good understanding of production management and associated operations, with a specific focus to provide engineering and technical support across Precast Concrete. You will also provide assistance in product development and supply a technical support service to their customers.

Evaluating the technical content of enquiries to the commercial team, you will produce tender design calculations and contract design calculations whilst liaising with external designers to agree the scope of the design work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual at graduate level looking to start a career in the building materials / construction industry. All that they ask is that you hold a 2:1 degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Business Management or Electrical & Mechanical Engineering and be trained in NEBOSH. Some engineering experience gained in the construction / precast industry would be highly desirable but not essential – what’s more important is an individual who is open minded to new ideas and who has the ability to work well independently as well as within a team. You should have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as an analytical mind.

A full clean driving licence is essential.
