A well established food manufacturing business is looking to recruit a multi skilled engineer to join their growing business due to a career move.
Location: Castle Cary, Somerset
Salary: GBP30,000 + 20% shift pay + Excellent Benefits, over time
Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Engineer reporting to our Maintenance Team Leader you'll carry out a wide range of maintenance activities to ensure our continuous plant operations meet demand. With the utmost focus on safety, quality and food safety, and supporting ISO 14000 and all related working procedures, you'll be involved in our process, packaging and utilities equipment/building preventive maintenance system, in addition to:
* breakdown maintenance
* controlling and reporting on contracted works by third parties
* spare parts stock control
* maintenance reporting and recording any maintenance events in the PPM System.
Maintenance Engineer Desirable Skills and Experience
With a technical degree in an electrical and/or mechanical discipline, or a time-served millwright or certified welder, you'll need a proven maintenance track record within manufacturing or the feed/food sector. With sound knowledge of safety regulations, as applicable to electricity, gas, hydraulic, steam and compressed air distribution networks and applications, you must be willing to work irregular hours and extended shifts if necessary. Safety, hygiene and quality-conscious, you're a self-motivated team player with strong customer focus, in addition to:
* excellent technical and problem-solving skills
* strong planning capabilities
* being action-orientated.
