SOC Analyst

£40000 - £50000 per annum
I am currently recruiting for an SOC Analyst to join an insurance business based in South East London. You will be part of a team that is growing across many areas and as a SOC Analyst you will be expected to be on the 1st line of defence when it comes to security breaches. This role has an on-call element to it.
As a SOC Analyst you will be expected to:
Monitor and respond to security certificate changes, firewall rules, web proxy config, data loss prevention etc.
Report on the status of the information security controls across the estate
Monitor and respond to threat & vulnerability scan results raising anomalies
Work with a range of security tools and data to analyse the estate
Take your share of on call in a 24/7 SOC environment
Skills for the Security Engineer:
Experienced working in an operational security environment
Operational experience across; firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus and content filtering, URL filtering, authentication solutions, switches, routers, VoIP, firewall zoning
CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, SEC501, CGIH, ECIH etc. Qualified
Problem solver interested in finding solutions to issues and working through incidents
I am looking for a SOC Analyst who is looking to work in a fast-paced IT department that is growing out their SOC across a number of areas and are investing heavily in their IT platform and staff. The company is re-platforming a massive proportion of the business and implementing brand new applications in the cloud so there is a need to completely refresh their Security Engineering.
