Top IT Managed Service Provider looking to add to their growing and successful team.

They have a role for a new role for an additional IT Support Engineer to join their growing and friendly team based in their offices in central Edinburgh. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day 1st and 2nd line support for their vibrant client base, as well they on-site troubleshooting and equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities to include:-

- Excellent remote support to resolve client issues
- Providing mentoring for Junior Staff and passing on IT Support skills
- Configuration of Network & Wireless Devices, Including Switches and Routers
- On-Site attendance to resolve IT issues, and to install new desktops, laptops and networking devices
- Reviewing hardware level system alerts and resolving as needed
- Ensuring client system documentation is up to date and accurate
- Working with Senior Management to constantly improve our excellent customer service

Working with the following programs:

o Microsoft desktop operating systems
o Microsoft Server operating systems
o Microsoft SBS 2008 / 2011
o Microsoft Exchange 2007 / 2012
o Microsoft Office 365 & Microsoft Azure
o Active Directory
o Mac OSX operating systems
o Virtualised Environments: Hyper-V & VMware

Key Experience/Characteristics preferred for the role:

- Experienced IT Professional
- Keen interest in IT
- Microsoft product & system knowledge and experience is essential
- Strong networking skills and experience in network troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and able to work on own initiative
- IT related qualifications are advantageous
- Experience/knowledge of Apple products and systems would be advantageous

Salary will be dependent upon experience and technical ability.

Ideally, this would suit a seasoned IT Support person with 2 years or more solid experience looking to prove themselves in a demanding role that offers excellent advancement opportunities, allowing for a mixture between office based remote support combined with on-site service delivery, with a focus on longer term solutions and systems.
