Carers' Centre Manager

Our client is a registered charity established in 1996 which supports unpaid carers in Harrow, Middlesex. It is the main organisation in Harrow for carers, providing a wide range of support through services and projects. They are affiliated to Carers Trust and Carers UK.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Carers’ Centre Manager with initiative and
compassion to manage the day to day activities at the Carers’ Centre. Duties include line management of staff, deputising for the CEO, overseeing activities and facilities and ensuring quality of case management.

The ability to work independently and manage budgets is essential. The role involves delivering direct support for unpaid carers, monitoring and evaluating services and reporting to funders.

You will be responsible for day to day HR matters and you will be accountable to and supervised by the CEO.

This is a very rewarding and challenging post and requires a self-starter with a responsible, resilient and resourceful approach.

They are looking for applicants with a strong record of management in the voluntary and community sector or equivalent and relevant experience in other sectors. Experience of carers’ issues, welfare benefits, community services and carers’ legislation is an advantage.
