Planned Works Supervisor (Site Supervisor) MEAR49740

Tonbridge

£26,000

Here at Mears Group our vision is to make a positive difference to the communities we serve.

We do this by improving homes, improving communities and improving lives and our approach is based on the development of outstanding partnerships with employees, clients, tenants, customers, their families and the wider community.

With staff of all ages and walks of life, a job with Mears has a rewarding impact on the lives of others and your own life. With offices across the UK, a job at Mears could be just around the corner.

An opportunity has arisen for a Planned Works Supervisor to join our team based in Tonbridge based on The Town & Country Housing Contract.

Within the role, you will supervise on a daily basis the operation of a planned improvement works programme whilst being responsible for subcontractors and directly employed operatives. Undertaking resident surveys/choice surveys prior to works start, you will ensure the timely completion of planned improvement works to a high standard of quality and customer service.

In addition, you will monitor performance of the Subcontractors/Direct operatives and will ensure they comply with all Company standards of work performance, customer service, policy and procedures.  Furthermore, you will have responsibility for all H&S on site during the works whilst actively driving the programme to guarantee all completion dates are maintained.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have the ability to communicate clearly and record accurate information, and will ideally have previous experience of working in Social Housing and possess a Trade background.

You will ideally hold SSSTS training, however this is not essential to the position. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively within a team and on their own initiative. Above all, we are looking for an individual with a strong customer focus with the ability to succeed within our dynamic team.

Strong IT skills are also important; with capability of using MS Office packages.

Candidates for this role must hold a full UK driving licence
