They are looking for an individual who is fully competent in reconciling accounts and someone who can pick up multiple systems quickly and add value form day one. You will be used to collecting overdue debt and ensuring that robust processes and procedures are in place to ensure that the business is able to review its cash position on a weekly and monthly basis.
As a Credit Control and Sales Ledger Administrator you will be part of an established team responsible for duties which will include (but not limited to):
- Account reconciliation with the ability to communicate with customers to resolve problems
- Managing a ledger of around 3,000 live accounts
- Cash Posting
- Chasing debt by phone, email and letter
- Dealing with Pro-Forma accounts
- Quarterly credit limit checks
- Processing card payments
- Dealing with held, overdue and exceeded credit limit accounts
- Issuing overdue reminders
- Issuing instruction to their company solicitor to initiate debt recovery proceedings
- Handling inbound calls from customers who have account queries
The successful person will require the following skills:
- Proven track record within a business to business environment
- Excellent systems skills and the ability to pick up new systems and improved ways of working quickly and effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office in particular excel
- Effective relationship builder and will be comfortable working within a high performance culture
- Ability to communicate confidently whilst showing empathy when collecting aged debt
- Proven ability to demonstrate written communication of ledger disputes
- Excellent attendance and timekeeping
