Working within our Product Data team you will be responsible for proofing and editing product data for all of our new line launches for both web and print, ensuring all mandatory data is captured and unique to each category.

This role would suit a copywriter that has written for print previously, such as magazines or catalogues or potentially someone with experience of editing newspapers.

The role is ultimately responsible for all copy in our catalogue including product descriptions, specification tables and producing effective brand statements. In this busy, varied position you will also lead, coach and manage a Junior Copy Editor so the successful candidate will have previous team leading/ supervisory experience.

As Copywriter your main responsibilities will be:
- Writing new product data and copy - conveying key selling points and essential specification data
- Proofing all copy for sign-off before going to press
- Writing copy in multiple ways to cover various different catalogues and leaflets such as main catalogue, promotional leaflets and additional trade counter requirements
- Responsible for product marketing copy capturing service developments and improvements such as delivery information, embroidery options and additional services
- Working with the Buying department to ensure fundamental data for new and existing products is captured and imported to Product Information Management Tool, STEP
- Engaging with all stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
- Co-ordinating the translation of copy and data through European teams to cover expanding European market
- Taking ownership of the quality of product data held within the PIM tool

To apply for this role your experience and skills should include:
- Educated to degree level in English Language (2:1 level or above preferred) or have equivalent experience
- Previous Team leader or supervisory experience
- A Level English at grade C or above or equivalent experience
- Previous experience of working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
- The ability to adapt Tone of Voice (ToV) to target audience
- Demonstrable previous experience from within a copy writing role
- Language skills in other European languages would be beneficial but is not essential
- Previous Team leader or supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
