We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor role at Hinkley Point for major utilities contractor based in the South West. They have an outstanding turnover of GBP180 million in contracting alone, and cover a wide range of utilities activity, including Capital Delivery, R and M and Reinstatement.
A recent development has seen the contractor pick up a large chunk of work at Hinkley Point C in delivering small works civils, utilities and minor FM functions on a contract worth GBP2 million in value. This is due to lead to large capital works, such as WWT plants and big pipelines. Consequently, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and/or utilities.
In addition to the aforementioned, a good knowledge of NEC3 would be extremely beneficial, particularly options C and E. A local candidate is also preferred due to the commute to Hinkley Point C via bus from Bridgwater, as this is likely to be a long term position with Hinkley Point C forecasted to last 15 years. Lastly, an outstanding salary and package is included up to GBP60k + Car/CA + Bonus + Pension + 28 days annual leave (Excluding bank holidays). Contract/freelance positions would also be considered.
