Who will I be working with?
Prestatyn Golf Club is a championship links course, set in 150 acres of superb unspoilt links land. Voted in the top ten winter links, the stunning course with challenges like no other, and welcoming clubhouse, combine to provide for exceptional golfing and socialising.
With over 430 members and regular visitors, the clubhouse provides an ideal social venue and functions facility, including a lounge bar and full catering service. It also benefits from recent redecoration and investment to make the extensive facilities more accessible to all.
What will the role of entail?
Your initial task will be to review current administrative processes and marketing activity, then develop an ambitious plan whilst taking a hands on approach to achieve improved efficiency, and to drive new revenue through footfall and memberships, enabling the club to reach its full potential. Tasks to include;
- Reviewing costs and pricing and delivering insight to the Committee to drive decisions
- Networking in the community and building lasting relationships
- Proactively promoting marketing initiatives on social media channels
- Engaging with industry associations and other golf clubs, driving partnerships with regards to reciprocal deals
- Organising advertising with magazines and newspapers
- Supporting and managing a small team of office staff
- Completing membership and office administrative tasks
- Overseeing finance administration including purchase and sales ledgers, and banking
- Liaising with the external accountant
What will I need to be considered for this role?
- Background in leisure or hospitality industry within a proactive office management or business development role
- Confident with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Proactive and organised approach to work
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative to overcome challenges
- IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and a good understanding of social media channels
- Accurate and timely data entry and typing skills
Working knowledge of Sage accountancy software would be advantageous although not essential.
What will I receive in return?
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000, level dependent on experience
Additional Benefits: Performance related bonus
Hours of Work: Full time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Although there will be some weekend working as required, where time off in the week will be given in lieu.
