GTS Flexible Materials Ltd is a manufacturer of flexible composites and adhesive-coated tapes used in a wide range of industrial applications, including the automotive, aerospace and energy markets. 90% of products are exported to Europe, Asia and the USA.

GTS has a requirement for an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer who will be able to carry out planned and reactive maintenance of the plant

The candidate should be a qualified engineer to HNC / NVQ Level 3 standard in an electrical, mechanical/multi-skilled discipline with hands-on experience of automated machines within a continuous manufacturing environment.

Working experience of PLC and control systems, with knowledge of AC motors and drives are also a requirement.

You will be safety conscious and a team worker with the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative when required.

Job description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for responding to machine and auxiliary failures, troubleshooting and fault finding on a range of electrical and mechanical plant equipment. In addition you will assist with other general site services, to ensure smooth running of the facility as a whole.

Location: Ebbw Vale 

Salary: £26,790 p.a. plus profit share plus opportunities for additional overtime

Shift Pattern: Alternate Weeks of Days & Nights (4* 12 hour shifts, Monday to Thursday only) 

Full-time: 45 hours per week
