Services Manager – Part-Time
Lothian and Borders Area
£28,269 - £30,417 (pro rata)
This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours per week.
Scottish Autism is an organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of people with autism. We exist to help those diagnosed with autism to lead full and enriched lives and become valuable members of the community they live in.
An opportunity has arisen for a Services Manager to work across our Lothian and Borders service.
As a Services Manager, your key duties will include managing the direct service provision of a group of services to the highest quality and maintaining these services as autism specific.
You will work on planned work within these services, which may include reviewing and implementing systems, covering gaps in service management and supporting change processes.
Managing the financial and budgetary targets involved in the provision of these services and participating in the planning, updating and review of these budgets will also be a key part to the role.
Additionally, you will work in partnership with Local Authorities, Care Inspectorate and SSSC to meet the requirements of the service as well as developing and auditing individuals’ programme of care across all services.
To be considered, you will need a relevant qualification as set by the SSSC such as SVQ level 4 in Health/Social Care and the Leadership in Management and Care Award; coupled with experience in a management role.
Flexible and adaptable, as a Services Manager, you will also need a can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure. You will also have strong communication and good team working skills to establish good working relationships with families, professionals and staff. Familiarity in the use of Microsoft software packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint would also be desirable.
We offer comprehensive training, opportunities for personal development and a generous benefits package.
Please note; the organisation operates a policy where only successful applicants will be contacted. Candidates who have not received written confirmation within two weeks of the closing date for the position should then consider themselves unsuccessful.
