Do you have buying experience? Have you come from a trade based organisation? Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you moving to the area, and want to get involved in a highly dynamic commercial based business?
I am looking, on behalf of my client, for an experienced Buyer to join a fantastic Yeovil based business of which offers great commercial exposure, a fresh challenge and a clear vision of progression.
You will be reporting to a senior Buyer, and will be responsible for developing your Category including achieving sales and profitability targets, sourcing new products, working with suppliers and developing the range to meet business requirements.
Your day to day duties will include:
Achieving sales and profitability targets as agreed by the senior Buyer.
Develop your category in line with the market trend and customer requirements that deliver commercial benefit.
Manage the supplier base in line with the company policy and commercial objectives.
Identify and implement opportunities to source products at a lower/ higher margin.
Respond and research effectively to emerging competitor and customer activity.
We are looking to you to possess the following experience:
Proven experience of working within a Buying Team as a Buyer or trainee buyer
Highly numerate and commercial
Ability to work and analyse a large amount of data
Prior experience of working to strict deadlines
As travel is part of this role, a full and valid UK driver's license is essential
