FINTEC recruit is seeking a Software Engineer for our client, a UK scientific consultancy business focussed on physics and astronomy projects on a global scale. This role is a permanent position and based in Fife, Scotland. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. This would suit a graduate or graduate with 2/3 years experience. You will be working with a talented team of scientists and software engineers.
Responsibilities of the Software Engineer position:-
- To design and implement software for control and data acquisition applications
Skills and Experience required:-
- Hold a Scientific or engineering degree 2:1 or above
- Experience or training in developing scientific or technical applications in a Linux environment with C, C++ or Java programming.
- A background in physics/astronomy, experience of control or real-time software, motion/servo control or LabVIEW would be advantageous, not an essential
