Following a period of continued business growth and new customer wins, my client is expanding its sales support team.
You will work closely with the sales team to promote finance software products to prospective customers globally.
Key aspects of the role include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for creating and maintaining/evolving a demonstration copy of their software for these markets
Providing both remote and face-to face demonstrations of their software to prospective customers globally and fielding functional and technical questions (albeit detailed technical knowledge is not a pre-requisite for this role)
Assisting with all aspects of the sales cycle and assisting the sales team where needed, including but not limited to, responding to RFIs and RFPs and attending detailed product walk through workshops
Providing input to the strategic direction of my client's software and its capabilities through market knowledge including discussions with and feedback from prospective customers
Working closely with the Support and Development teams to build relationships internally to help ensure assistance is available when needed.
Providing input to marketing activities and events
Undertaking a reasonable level of global foreign travel, which in some cases may involve weekend travel
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Ideally degree educated, or above
Previous software sales support experience
Reasonable technical skills, including a basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL
Experience of Financial Services sector
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge:
A good understanding of the financial services industry
An understanding or appreciation of the regulatory issues facing the financial services industry, wealth managers, including FATCA and CRS for example
Able to work and prioritise own work where required and be an effective member of the sales team
