Job Title: Junior Finance Assistant / Junior Finance Administrator

Location: Bournemouth Town Centre

Salary: £17,000 Plus Benefits

We are currently seeking a Junior Finance Assistant to work within the Finance Team of iSupplyEnergy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing work relating to finance, administration and some training. This includes processing and monitoring payments, refunds and indemnity claims. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that customer accounts are accurate, up to date, and enable tighter control of debt.

Junior Finance Assistant / Junior Finance Administrator Summary of main duties and responsibilities:

  • Performing the day to day processing of financial transactions to ensure that customer accounts are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
  • Ensuring that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Preparing, verifying, and processing payments to the customer accounts (including cheques, Direct Debits, BACs transfers and Debit/Credit Card)
  • Clearing errors associated with a payment (ARUDDs and ADDACs associated with Direct Debit, and identify and correct Payment Discrepancies)
  • Verifying refunds - automated refunds, running/re-running any customer statements, as required, ensuring refunds are extracted daily for payment, and processing off-system refunds and ensuring correct signatures obtained
  • Appropriate closing down of customer accounts, to ensure further payments are not taken or DDs reactivated and any refunds will be noted on accounts
  • Any other duties as required

The ideal Junior Finance Assistant / Junior Finance Administrator will need:

  • An analytical and pragmatic approach
  • The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • To ensure confidentiality concerning financial files
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and procedures
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and decision making abilities
  • A high level of accuracy and effective written communications capabilities

It would also be nice if you:

  • Had strong verbal communication skills
  • Had strong attention to detail
  • Possessed cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Computer skills
