Our client welcomes all 'for a pause on life`s journey` where we run a series of retreats, days of reflection and personal development days.
Your main responsibilities will be to assist the catering manager with preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and deputise in the catering manager`s absence. You will also be required to assist with menu writing, ordering ingredients, supervising kitchen assistants and ensuring that the kitchen areas are kept in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with policies and procedures.
You must have experience of producing meals for up to 50 people in any one sitting, have a talent for baking biscuits, cakes and bread and be able to work alone or as part of a team. It would be desirable, but not essential that you have an NVQ 2/3 in food preparation and cooking, a Food Hygiene and Safety (level 2) and First Aid at Work Certificate.
