HEAD OF RESIDENTIAL

 

Competitive Salary based on experience and qualification

Applications are invited for the above post, based in Stourbridge, West Midlands.

Based on a working pattern of 40 hours per week, the post holder will be required to work flexibly, according to the needs of the provision which will include regular evenings and weekend working to quality assure the provision.

Transform Residential Limited provides residential support for students who attend Glasshouse College in Stourbridge, West Midlands. The college is one of the independent specialist further education colleges operated by Ruskin Mill Trust, providing Practical Skills Therapeutic Education for young people aged 16 to 25 years presenting with a range of learning difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders, ADHD and behaviours that challenge.

The core purpose of this role is to provide and manage a range of residential provisions for students who attend Glasshouse College based upon the Trust’s seven care qualities.  The residential provision operates managed team homes and a Shared Lives Scheme within the local community.

As a CQC Registered Manager and a leader of the residential team you will ensure the effective operation of the residential service working directly with the College Principal to ensure the delivery of a high quality, compliant provision which has an extended curriculum programme to benefit and enrich the lives of the students who attend Glasshouse College.

The post-holder must have the qualifications and skills to be the CQC registered manager (a minimum of Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent), significant operational experience in a care environment working with all levels of staff and management, high levels of personal resilience, and emotional and social intelligence. The post holder will ideally have knowledge of Rudolf Steiner Holistic Education with particular reference to the works and insights of John Ruskin and William Morris, and also have a strong desire to undertake training and further qualifications.
