FT3036 - Trainee Shift Manager

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Trainee Shift Manager for our production client based in Highland region. This is a permanent role. Salary in the £28k to £31k region. You will be expected to already have experience of working in a production/manufacturing environment with some supervisory experience and you aspire to being taking your career in a management routeway. While working on shift you will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all personnel , including risk assessments and preparation of Safe Systems of Work. You will be working both indoors and outdoors in all weather in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all staff work safely and follow health and safety protocols.
• Ensure all sub-contractors work safely and follow health and safety protocols.
• Use of the Permit to Work system.
• Deliver compliance to environmental standards
• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis
• Ensure concise and timely delivery of communication, including accurate reports and handovers.
• Assist to minimise downtime and continuous improvement

Skills and Experience:

• Have good interpersonal skills of communication, influencing, negotiation, persuasion and diplomacy
• Have good time management skills to concentrate efforts on the more important priorities
• Ability to delivery improvement projects within time, cost, quality and safety parameters.

Qualifications

• Higher education level or equivalent.
• IT Skills (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Awareness and knowledge of business expectations and how to meet/exceed these.
• Ability to give direction to individuals and teams.
