Our client has identified an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced SharePoint Developer to join the team as the lead technical advisor and subject matter expert for document management and application development. You will be responsible for the configuration, data quality and development of SharePoint within the Service.
Position Summary
As SharePoint Developer you will work with key stakeholders to research, refine, design and implement solutions and technical changes to existing and proposed data and document management solutions, based on their requirements.
Your duties will include;
• SharePoint system maintenance, testing, problem solving, access control, and user training and support
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practice coding standards. Test code for robustness, usability and general reliability including edge cases
• Integrate data from outside data sources using APIs where they are available
• Be the first point of contact for queries, issues and access controls with the SharePoint system. Work on bug fixing, problem solving, User Acceptance Testing and improving application performance and user experience
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the required skills and experience to undertake this role including;
• Professional diploma in computing, IT and/or programming and web design
• Demonstrate proven experience in developing Microsoft SharePoint 2013, user requirements analysis and design, and web programming using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Practical relevant experience developing Microsoft SharePoint 2013, including configuration and customisation, API, web parts, client side object model, content types, designer workflows, and applying retention.
• In depth, demonstrable experience of user requirements analysis and design and delivery of SharePoint applications to meet those requirements with focus on usability
• Good communication skills; oral, written and graphical, in order to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical personnel, advise and update key stakeholders and write technical documentation etc.
• Able to develop and deliver guidance, advice and where necessary training to staff at all levels of the organisation.
• Understanding of browser-specific compatibility issues.
• Creative problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Proven organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and manage time effectively without supervision.
