Ecolab have an opportunity for an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to join the team in Fawley, Southampton.
Engineering and Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:
- Implementing and monitoring compliance of Ecolab safety standards alongside local and corporate standards and policies for all on site.
- Undertaking or arranging suitable resource for maintenance, testing and inspection activities.
- Being part of the Duty Manager Responder team to cover out of hours emergencies.
- Supervision of the Fawley Maintenance and Construction group.
- Setting development goals and objectives for team, including selection, training and motivation.
- Ensuring that plant equipment and apparatus are in good operating order to the appropriate codes and standards.
- Planning plant outages and co-ordinate with Production.
- Recommending and maintaining effective energy conservation and pollution control programs to drive cost reduction and comply with government regulations.
- Monitoring the fire protection system. Maintain the security system for protection of equipment and personnel. Responsibility for safe, efficient operation of the steam production plant.
- Responsibility for planning and directing the design of new process systems.
- Preparing and administering annual departmental and capital budgets.
- Monitoring expenses throughout the year to ensure costs are within amounts budgeted.
- Building design and construction, building maintenance modifications and repair and design, construction and installation of new equipment and apparatus to ensure safe and efficient plant and facilities operations.
- Reviewing and approving all new and revised Maintenance and Construction group procedures.
- Report performance through KPI dashboard.
The ideal Engineering and Maintenance Manager:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineer or similar.
- Proven related experience, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Experience in managing a team, coordinating & completion of works and have an exceptional approach to Health and Safety.
- Experience of vendor, budget and financial management tools in line with stakeholder expectations
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing; Lean Six Sigma or 5S would be advantageous
- Strong ability to communicate, coordinate, manage multiple priorities and strive for safety and service excellence
