Due to expansion and continued growth we are currently seeking an experienced multi skilled fire and security alarm engineer who is conversant in the fire and electronic security industry, to join our friendly team. Experience within the Fire and Security Industry is essential.

This is a full time, permanent position and the successful candidate will be well rewarded and have opportunities to work overtime.

Balmoral Systems are a Bristol based fire and security company established in 1997. We are NSI Gold Fire, NACOSS Gold, BAFE SP203 and ISO 9001 accredited.

Applicants must be able to carry out surveys, routine maintenance, fault finding, repair and installation of security, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.

A clean criminal record is essential, as all our engineers and staff are screened to BS7858 and DBS checked. A full clean UK driving licence is preferred.

Duties Applicants will be given internal and external training to carry out surveys, routine maintenance, fault finding, repair and installation of security, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.

Experience Existing experience in fire, security, CCTV and access control systems is a requirement

Skills needed You will need to be able to manage yourself whilst on site. Good understanding of technology, good organisation and communication skills. Ability to work from steps and ladders, with an understanding of health and safety.

Personal specification The ideal candidate will be a motivated and capable engineer. They will have a good range of experience in different sectors and hands on experience with tools. We are looking for an engineer who has the ability to take on and understand new products and technology. They will be easy-going but hardworking, and need to be friendly and approachable when dealing with others. They should be quite independent, being comfortable working in a range of environments with minimal guidance.

They will need to be flexible schedule-wise. They should set an example of excellent quality when installing fire and security systems. Being in a position of responsibility and privilege, they will be trustworthy and honest in their conduct.

Although we aim to keep our team operating as close to home as possible, we will require our staff to travel with occasional overnight stays when required. Working hours vary, but are Monday to Friday, predominantly office hours. However working outside normal hours will be a requirement due to the nature of a 24/7 business
