They have several new vacancies for Maintenance Engineers to work in a 25 strong maintenance team to begin with immediate effect. The Role The site has a wide range of machinery including conveyors, ovens, mixing machinery, hot plates, flow wrappers and robot packaging machines. The role is a mixture of both mechanical and electrical work including: Mechanical - changing bearings, replacing motors and replacing gearboxes. Electrical - fault finding, cabling, changing inverters, fitting photocells and changing isolators. PLC's - fault find with Alan Bradley systems. You will be working on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern in teams. You will also be responsible for taking on projects in production to help improve machine reliability, safety and energy saving. This could see you looking at ways to stop repeat faults happening on machines or looking to justify new machinery spend for production to improve reliability. TrainingThe company offers a three months training programme to begin with which includes a technical assessment initially, time spent in each area of the business followed up by monthly reviews of performance. The company also carry out a technical test during their interview process which will help them identify training needs when they start. The company can provide external training courses on 17th edition and inspection and testing if this becomes required in your role. The Candidate To be successful in your application for Maintenance Engineer you will need: An engineering qualification Someone who enjoys working in fast paced environment. The ability to carry out electrical fault finding on three phase machinery. Happy to carry out breakdown and maintenance tasks. Happy working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern days and nights - 12 hour shifts.
