A well-established forward thinking technology research company is currently looking for a full time ‘Social Media Executive’ to promote the company’s products and services.

  

Job Description;

The company want to begin Social media marketing by employing someone who has done this before, either they have taken a course in it and have done project work, or they have already been employed in Social Media. We will start this job on minimum wage at just 25 hours a week, but the job is intended to scale after 3 months to a full time, permanent role, once we know this affects our sales outputs positively.

You would join a young team which is highly technically focused and who latch onto new ideas rapidly. Effectively we want to experiment with both your ideas and ours to create an effective social media presence that builds brand across people who work within technology businesses and who either influence senior decision makers or who are senior decision makers.

This is not us telling you how to do this, this is you thinking hard about our requirements, trying things and keeping what works, and throwing out what fails. If anyone can get this to replace what is mostly email marketing, then you will have bootstrapped us into the 21st Century and you will become a valuable asset. Your success will define your next pay rise and we sincerely hope you will grow within the group.

Our approach needs to be a series of regular steps, more science than art, which are quantifiable, measurable and which offer metrics to demonstrate reach and sales influence. We don't need mumbo jumbo and guesswork, we can do that ourselves, we need proven techniques, understanding of how social media works, and an intelligent approach to reaching some of the smartest people in the world, who do not tolerate fools gladly. This needs a business to business approach, more LinkedIn and Twitter than Facebook, and tools which deomonstrate response and click throughs to eCommerce sites.

Our brand is one that is highly respected among industry professionals, and the wrong approach could damage that branding. We simply want more people to consider us first, with a brand that has become synonymous commentary of complex technology eco-systems.

Candidate:

Ideally you will be a recent graduate or someone who has the qualifications/training to excel in the role. You will be hardworking, reliable and eager to succeed
