The Company is a leader in the research and development of T cell-based therapies for the treatment of cancer. The business is rapidly growing in both the UK and USA and we have multiple early-phase clinical trials ongoing in oncology centres across both the US and Europe.

The purpose of this role is to primarily conduct scientific experiments as necessary within dedicated scientific teams. Whilst initially requiring supervision by a more senior scientist, the job holder will develop further scientific skills to be able to work more independently on routine experiments. The job holder will also be responsible for the interpretation of scientific results under the supervision of a senior scientist.

Functional focus: The T cell cloning group is concerned with isolating T cell clones against target peptides to start new Pipeline programmes. Desirable skills for this group include lentivirus production, primary cell culture, flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays and ELISA/ELISpot.

70%: Conducting cell biology techniques such as cell culture of tumour cell lines and primary cells, lentivirus production, PBMC preps and cell subset isolation from whole blood, and some flow cytometry and ELISA/ELISpot to support scientists and the Group as a whole.

20%: Analyse, summarise and record experimental results, and maintain relevant databases and records.

5%: Participate in project meetings and discussions.

5%: R outline lab maintenance.
