Our client is a market leader in their field, part of an international plc and a major global force in a range of healthcare markets. They are now looking for a Global Innovation & Strategic Marketing Director to join their team. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a high calibre marketer with proven new product development and management experience to take on a defining role with a leading manufacturing business. 

Reporting directly to the Group MD, this is a brand new board-level position that will see you make a huge impact on the future success and development of the company and their products. 

As the Global Innovation & Strategic Marketing Director, you will drive our client’s future business growth to ensure they achieve and maintain their status as the leading ophthalmic design and manufacturing company. 

In this vital role, you will have the chance to influence all aspects of business development. You will champion the digital transformation of the company’s existing product base and future business offering by driving an innovation agenda to make sure that everyone gets involved with generating ideas and improving products. 

Your key duties will include: 

- Providing leadership to the Marketing, Product Management and NPD Teams 
- Taking full ownership of the product and customer segment lifecycle 
- Leading future development of all strategic product and digital roadmaps 
- Working with Sales, Service and Operations staff to improve services and the sales channels of all products 
- Shaping future business models that drive our client’s digital expansion and product transformation 

Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have: 

- Previous experience of strategic planning and direct or collaborative new product development 
- Progressive NPD, digital marketing or technology-driven commercial experience 
- Experience gained in a senior leadership position 
- Experience of managing a marketing or R&D function with global responsibility and a track record of establishing long-term strategic growth initiatives 
- At a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree 

As the Global Innovation & Strategic Marketing Director, you must be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong business acumen is also key.
