Our client a successful family run retail business is looking to appoint a Group HR Officer on a permanent full time basis.
The role based in Leicester city centre will suit an experienced HR professional with 5 years at an operational level and a further 2-3 years at a HR Management level. Experienced of not only dealing with HR issues but also recruitment. Essentially a good all rounder. Who is Degree educated and CIPD qualified to level 7 or MIPD. Essential to the role is good HR systems knowledge.
The Group HR Officer will report in directly to the Managing Director and form key relationships with senior members of the business.
The objective:
To support the objective of making our client a destination employer that attracts and retains the highest caliber people.
Provide a comprehensive HR service to support the company in achieving its business objectives. As well as driviing along employee retention by implementing benefits that have been discussed
The role:
End to end Recruitment, Induction and Housekeeping
-To manage the employee personnel records for the group
-Liaise with the Accounts department in the proper administration of staff on the payroll system
-To produce all employment contracts and offer letters on request for all new starters, internal promotions and any demotions
-To ensure that all employees receive an appropriate induction by the issuing of new starter packs and liaising with the Line Manager in its completion.
-Support the recruitment of new staff members through the management of vacancies online and through recruitment agencies.
-To develop and then liaise with the business to produce turnover, sickness, absence figures and produce an analysis for the Group.
-To ensure that group pension and other benefits are being consistently administered and promoted to all those eligible within the group
-To monitor the completion of the online Health and Safety and Driving assessment through remote monitoring and liaison with the site managers.
-To ensure that every new starter have detailed reviews of their performance at agreed points within the probationary period

Training and Development
-Monitor the progress of the Manufacturer online Training
-Refer to the Group Employment Advisors and the Managing Director with any Human Resources issues for support and guidance.
-Implement and support a robust method of ensuring that every team member receives regular reviews of their own performance
Engagement
-To ensure that each site has a robust method of recognising successes for Customer satisfaction in all areas of the business
-To supply the regular feedback for staff success stories, and other noteworthy stories for entry into the group wide newsletters
-Support the development and effective role out of group Business improvement groups
-To carry out any reasonable additional duties as and when required.
