Quality Engineer required in Gloucester to assist the Quality Manager in all company quality issues and support in the development and validation of manufacturing processes and cosmetic GMP to world class levels.
Key Tasks
- To support the Quality Manager in the following;
- to develop the supply base as demand / projects require with regard to quality / GMP and ethical trading
- To act as a contact for customers, suppliers and the company staff for GMP and Ethical Trading
- To establish the company GMP policy and standards
- To lead GMP audits and improvements in the factory
- To develop, implement and manage the process / production validation system
- To investigate existing manufacturing quality issues, sometimes leading small teams, developing robust solutions to optimise production processes and customer satisfaction
- To be involved in customer complaints, handling investigations into manufactured products and 'Globally` sourced factored products
- To introduce generic technical specifications for our core product families
- To be part of the team introducing appropriate test programs for incoming raw materials in order to head off problems in production
- To develop material suppliers and subcontractors with regard to quality issue;
- To lead continuous improvements in product, process and material, in order to support customer service, quality and cost reductions
- To generally assist in other activities within the factory as directed and take on other responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee`s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- In depth Quality / Manufacturing knowledge and experience essential
- Experienced in cosmetic GMP (ISO22716) and ISO9001/BRC or similar
- Ideally degree level qualification in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years` process/quality experience preferably from within a cosmetic / beauty manufacturing environment
