Information Manager (IM) - CAD, EDMS, BIM Standards, AEC experience - Bristol, Avon, South_West, to GBP60,000 plus fantastic benefits
A global Consultancy who specialise within sectors including construction, transport, manufacturing and technology have an urgent opening for an Information Manager. As an Information Manager you will report to the Project Manager and will provide technical support within the ProjectWise Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for projects ensuring successful delivery of challenging architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) schemes. You will be responsible for delivering within budget, programme and targets, meeting / exceeding client expectations during interfaces with clients and other sectors / disciplines. As an Information Manager your goal is to organize, update and improve the overall workflow of information within a project being proficient with specific software and management systems essential to the job function. Responsibilities include but are not limited to delivering information in a managed structure, increasing accessibility, archiving, updating information, recording traceability and retrieving information.
Essential Criteria for this role is 3rd level AEC qualification or equivalent, 4 years' AEC experience with at least 2 years in the role of Information Manager, knowledge of CAD systems e.g. AuoCAD, Microstation, experience of MS Office ie, Word, Excel, managing the EDMS, understand Information Structure in AEC project delivery and facilitates this within the EDMS. You will also have the ability to validate information into the EDMS, undertake audits of information, understand the principles of permissions, access control, security and data integrity, have proven ability to define processes, follow and write process documentation with a pro-active approach and experience in on-going coaching in the use of IM tool set. You will have the knowledge to use all methods necessary to support project members in the use of the EDMS, ie, phone/video/ web conference and a willingness to deliver training to dispersed teams, manage technical issues, liaise closely with other professionals / clients in order to achieve successful delivery of AEC information and have basic knowledge of IM methodologies and BIM standards e.g. BS1192 and PAS1192 and have strong stakeholder engagement experience.
Desirable Criteria for this role is any of the following:- previous experience using Bentley's ProjectWise EDMS to manage and deliver information, knowledge and awareness of 3D discipline design packages and/or a thorough understanding of the standards for Information Management and BIM, ie, BS1192 and PAS1192
