Financial Services: Wealth and Investments Bank are looking to hire a: Head of Training- Competence and Quality Assurance Role- London Description Financial Services:Head of Training- Competence and Quality Assurance Role- London The role holder will be recognised as the T&C and QA subject matter expert for Regulated Investment Sales and will coordinate the implementation of the standards set by our regulators (e.g. FCA) for those individuals undertaking regulated activities as well as ensuring that the front office teams have the right customer focus and that within the T&C environment a robust control framework is in place and is enforced. The role holder will oversee the statutory responsibilities of supervisors and senior supervisors to ensure their supervisory tasks are fully understood and carried out correctly. All of these activities must be coordinated, monitored and supported across platforms with thorough record keeping that demonstrates compliance with the training and competence regime and our regulatory requirements. The role holder will help drive future investment proposition objectives, certifying that these are fit for purpose and in line with regulatory requirements. The role holder will have direct involvement with regulators, and be able to identify any corrective actions that must be undertaken as a result of areas identified through field or regulatory visits or business change requests and be accountable for the accuracy of the outputs of any remedial action and accountable for ensuring the corrective action has been taken to mitigate any investor/borrower risk. The role holder will be responsible for collating, authenticating and dissemination of key T&C and Quality Assurance data to the various Committee's and T&C supervisors. Profile The successful- Head of Training, Competence and Quality Assurance candidate will show strengths/ be expected to: Demonstrate a superior influencing and negotiating skills and will be constantly required to communicate at a senior level both internally and externally. The role holder will have in-depth practical experience and understanding of both the UK and other jurisdictional regulatory regimes, along with a strong understanding of the jurisdictional regulatory requirements governing both investment and mortgage products. The role holder will demonstrate awareness and adherence to all regulatory requirements, with high levels of expertise (to subject matter expert level) in training and competency rules and regulations. Academic and professional qualifications: The right candidate will have experience within the regulated arena of the financial services industry and must have qualifications in Financial Planning by achieving Level 4 Diploma Status (or recognised industry equivalent qualification), and preferably Level 6 Job Offer Competitive Package
