The client is a leading logistics / distribution organisation with a significant national presence in the UK. Due to a drive to maintain business excellence they are now urgently looking to recruit an interim Senior PMO manager in to their business for 3- 6 months.

Your role will be to help our client with setting up a PMO function and to generate the respective documentation, PMO structure and relevant processes to create what will be an integral and flagship part of our client's transformation team.

On a day-to-day basis tasks include:

- Gathering data re: project progress and producing reports - assigning RAG status
- Developing standards and processes
- Encouraging (or enforcing where necessary) the use of those standards and processes (e.g. RAID log management) via project health checks and post- implementation reviews
- Managing resources across the work-streams
- Maintaining high level milestone plan, with all projects clearly shown in one place
- Managing dependencies across multiple projects
- Tracking benefits, e.g. scheduling business case reviews
- Reporting on financial information such as budget spend to date
- Driving adherence to the agreed governance -meetings and reporting schedules
- Maintaining active working links with other workstream PMOs

The successful candidate will have a strong background as a PMO and ideally have experience in either Logistics, Supply Chain, Parcels / Mail, Retail or any other relevant sector related to logistics / distribution. An excellent day rate of GBP400-GBP450 + expenses is available for the successful candidate. We are looking to interview immediately.
